Asked by protester Marian Ceaușescu how Romania looks after half a year under his mandate, President Nicușor Dan replied: “It was a correction and obviously purchasing power went down. We don't have to hide these things, Romanians will buy less than six months ago. On the other hand there are construction things that have started and I think the state authorities are very serious in their execution”, said Nicușor Dan.

The president avoided a direct answer about the PSD, a party considered by activist Ceaușescu to be toxic for Romania.

“I am president and this country has one parliament voted by Romanians and a parliamentary majority was constituted, of which the PSD is also a part. I, as president, must be even-handed”said the Head of State.
