Over PLN 500 million – that's how much Poles lost last year as a result of the activities of online criminals. Globally, losses have already exceeded one trillion dollars, making cybercrime the second largest criminal market in the world. In the face of this civilization challenge, Bankier.pl, as a co-organizer, invites you to the conference “Scamming Out! Summit – stop online fraud”.

The scale of the problem and the purpose of the conference

Cybercrime has become an organized industry that threatens not only the wallets of individual customers, but also the stability of entire financial systems. The only effective weapon in this unequal fight is education, increased awareness and close cooperation between institutions.

“Scamming Out! Summit” is intended to serve as a catalyst for these activities. During the event, we will try to answer the question of how to build social resistance to attacks and how to technologically stay ahead of fraudsters.

The “Scamming Out! Summit” will feature, among others: Jacek Jastrzębski, chairman of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, Adam Marciniak, president of Velobank, Mateusz Oleksy, general director of Visa Polska, Piotr Konieczny, founder of Niebezpiecznik, Robert Grabowski, head of CERT Orange Polska i Artur Zwaliński, deputy director of the Department of Protection of Collective Consumer Interests of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection

What will we talk about?

The conference agenda was designed to cover the most urgent problems in the world of digital finance. The program will include:

Fireside chat with the chairman of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, Jacek Jastrzębski, whom we will ask about the impact of cyber attacks and disinformation on the stability of the Polish financial sector.

Discussion panel “Back to branch transfer”, during which the difficult issue of balance between banking innovation and protection of customer funds will be discussed. Do we have to sacrifice comfort to be safe?

Social engineering and “Mind-hack”: Experts will look at manipulation methods, including ransomware attacks on critical infrastructure and “human hacking” techniques.

Investment fraud: The conference will close with an extremely important conversation with Piotr Kuczyński from the Xelion Investment House and Grzegorz Zalewski from the BOŚ Brokerage House, whose images were illegally used in advertising false investments. Together with experts, we will consider how to stop the wave of this type of crime.
