Artemy Lebedev commented on the death of a child from dogs in the Krasnoyarsk Territory

Designer Artemy Lebedev spoke about the situation with stray dogs in Russian regions, commenting on the tragic incident in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Let us recall that in October, in the Teremok SNT in the Berezovsky district, a pack of stray dogs mauled a 10-year-old boy to death.

In his video, Lebedev said: “If a dog does not have an owner, it should not be on the street. A dog is a pet, and if it lives on the street, then it needs to be dealt with.” He cited the example of Moscow, where, according to him, there are no flocks of stray animals, because “as soon as they appear, they immediately disappear somewhere.”

Lebedev criticized the position of those who oppose the capture of stray animals: “There are guys who think that dogs should not be touched, that dogs are more important than humans. People are like, “Oh, we have a law, we can’t do anything, oink-moo.” But it ends with tragedies like this. Show this news to your nearest zoo-lover, let him comment on it in some way – what should have been done with these dogs and what this child should have done.”

Let us add that the problem was taken under control in the central office of the Investigative Committee. They clarified that they are already investigating a criminal case under Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements.”

Residents of the village of Kuznetsovo recorded a video message to the governor with request to solve the problem with stray dogs. According to them, the administration is inactive – after the death of the child, control over stray animals in the village was not strengthened, but rather reduced to nothing.

The law on the treatment of stray animals, which provides, in particular, for euthanasia for aggressive dogs, will be considered by deputies of the regional legislative body today.
