Minister of Finance Andrzej Domański dispels hopes for a quick expansion of the state's social policy. The head of the Ministry of Finance makes it clear: in the face of the tense geopolitical situation and the need for gigantic expenditures on the army, “the space for new social programs in the budget has simply run out.”

The priority for the coming years is hard security and defense, which are expected to consume a record share of GDP. The minister assures that existing benefits, such as 800+, are not at risk, but the government cannot afford to make further expensive election promises.
Instead of new cash transfers, the Ministry of Finance wants to focus on investments and stimulating economic growth. As Domański emphasizes, a strong economy and a modern army, not more benefits, are to guarantee Poland's stability in uncertain times.
