During the cold season, many people experience inflammation on the skin and often immediately “grab” at aggressive acids that can dry out the face. But before taking such measures, it is better to try natural “beauty products” made from simple natural ingredients. The author of the blog “Academy of Beauty and Health” (12+) on the Zen platform (12+) shared a recipe for an excellent rosemary tonic and hydrosol for the face.
Rosemary infusion not only helps reduce inflammation, but also maintains the correct pH balance of the skin – this is a rarity among acne remedies. Plus, it combats dryness and evens out the complexion.
To prepare tonic you will need:
- 250 ml clean water
- 2 teaspoons dried rosemary
- 2 teaspoons dried cumin
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar 5%
- 5 drops tea tree or lavender essential oil – if skin is sensitive
The process is very simple: pour water into a clean saucepan, bring to a boil and remove from the stove. Add cumin and rosemary to the water, cover with a lid and let steep for 20-30 minutes.
Strain the healthy infusion through a fine sieve into a sterile bottle. Add vinegar and essential oil of choice and shake well.
Important: homemade tonic should be stored in the refrigerator for no more than 10 days.
If you want to get the most natural hydrolate, you can simply brew the herbs without vinegar and oils. The author of the blog notes that she uses the product not only for herself, but also for her teenage daughter, and is very pleased with the result.
