Serious accident in Constanța: a car hit a gas pipe. The students of a high school were evacuated as a precaution
A road accident took place on Tuesday, November 18, on Soarelui street in Constanța, after a car left the road and hit a gas pipe. Traffic has been temporarily restricted until all danger has been removed.

According to Ziarul Amprenta, the crews of the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations from the Port Detachment quickly intervened on the scene, a water and foam extinguishing vehicle (ASAS) and a SMURD crew were sent, while the Fripis Detachment arrived with the specialized CBRN team, prepared to manage any gas or dangerous substance leaks.
Firefighters secured the area, checked the damaged pipe and called gas crews to shut off the supply. Traffic was temporarily restricted and several people received medical attention.
Four tenants from two buildings and the students from the Marine High School were evacuated as a precaution. Authorities are investigating how the driver lost control of the vehicle.
