In a series of rare images with North Korea workers, the Asians were filmed by a Russian local official on a construction site as they were thinking next to a dog that seemed to be there to guard the property.

Pointing to a vessel with red liquid, he tells the viewers: “There is no blood in it, it's just kimchi [varză fermentată] spicy. This is not a cafe or something else, it is a work camp ”, says the official, according to The Telegraph.

The reaction took place after social networks circulated that several pets disappeared. This caused a worried citizen to enter the site and question the Koreans about what they were doing with their dogs.

The dog is considered a delicacy in North Korea and is often served in a spicy stew known as “Dangogi ”or sweet meat, which is particularly popular in the summer months. It is believed that this meat provides resistance and increases male virility.

Although the video workers are called only “Koreani ”they speak with North Korean accent, and Russia would have used cheap labor for decades in this isolated nation.

In 2017, the UN forbade countries to hire North Korean workers in accordance with the UN resolution.

Russia, a permanent member of the UN Security Council, signed the resolution, but ignored it.

According to the quoted publication, it seems that the workers were sent to work in me, in forest operating camps and on construction sites throughout the country, an arrangement that allows Russia to cover its workforce, while serving as a very necessary source for Pyongyang.

On Wednesday, Moscow Times reported that “hundreds” of North Korean workers were able to work in wildberries, the largest online retailer in Russia.

The labor shortage in Russia has become more acute as a result of the Ukraine war, the workers being directed to the army and the defense industry.

North Korea, which strengthened the links with the Kremlin from Russia's invasion to Ukraine, would have sent up to 12,000 soldiers to help reject Kiev's incursion into the Kursk region.
