Plans for the construction of an innovative science and technology center were explained to Krasnoyarsk residents “Valley of Mendeleev” in Krasnoyarsk. This decision, which will combine the potential of the KSC SB RAS and Siberian Federal University, has already been supported at the federal level.

As the INTC Foundation said, construction will take place in two areas. The first, with an area of ​​2 hectares, will occupy the territory of an existing unused boiler house; 1.5 hectares are allocated for development. The second section includes an unfinished construction site where a new campus of research and educational centers with a total area of ​​2-3 hectares will appear.

The foundation emphasizes that the total area of ​​green space in Akademgorodok will be preserved due to compensatory landings.

Let us remember that earlier plans to create a center raised concerns due to possible deforestation. In response to these concerns, the fund clarified that the main emphasis is on the use of already developed areas, and not on clearing new forest areas.

The project is now at the stage of coordinating the planning and land surveying projects. The first facilities are planned to be put into operation in 2027.

Issues of land ownership and unfinished construction will be resolved in accordance with current legislation.
