What happened at the dental clinic before the 2-year-old girl died. New accusations by the father

Sara, the little two-year-old who died after being sedated at the dental office in the Capital, was buried on Saturday. The girl's mother, overcome with grief, could not attend the funeral.
The girl's father declared, on Saturday, for Antena 3 CNN, that the investigators must check the video cameras at the clinic because they recorded everything that happened there.
“They wanted to cover up everything. While they were reviving the little girl, for an hour or so, when my wife didn't know anything, they had called the lawyer, the jurist, and he probably told them what to do. They were very stressed. They kept saying to call the boy with the cameras, the boy with the video system. He came with a key, he went there, he didn't leave, he didn't know what he did. I ask the competent bodies and state institutions to do their duty as soon as possible more transparently and to check the cameras very well, because everything can be seen there and the biggest and most samples can be taken from there, because the life of a two-year-old child, who was healthy, was taken”, said the man, according to News.ro.
He stated that the girl's tests had recorded higher than normal values, but the people from the dental clinic insisted that they take her there.
“Indeed, the analysis results were much higher, we insisted not to go, because people say that we took our child to death, how can we take the child to death? We took the child to a good clinic, where we had done an operation there, we wanted what was best for the child, but we didn't know that they were killing her. They didn't decide to kill her, in theory, but, practically, forget what happened. They insisted that we come. (…) I would like to the anesthetist should come out publicly and tell us why she called us so insistently. I see only one reason, money”, the man declared.
The parents accuse the office that the ambulance was called late
He also accuses the representatives of the clinic of calling the ambulance late.
There were three calls to 112 in this case, according to the Special Telecommunications Service. The girl's parents say that she went into cardio-respiratory arrest at 5:30 p.m. (Thursday), and the call to 112 was made by the clinic very late, with the ambulance arriving after an hour and a half.
According to STS, the clinic's first call to 112 was at 6:41 p.m. The second call came 10 minutes later. The last call was at 19:49, when a Police crew was requested in connection with the same case, according to STS.
The girl's father also stated that she had a tooth infection and that's why they went with her to the clinic. He added that they had been a few months ago for similar treatment and then there was no problem.
Little Sara, buried on Saturday
The child was buried on Saturday at Campulung Muscel, and her mother could not be present at the ceremony.
The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, stated that there is no attempt to cover up the causes that led to the death of the two-year-old girl in a dental clinic in Bucharest and that all the data had already been collected by his colleagues.
“As far as I know, all the servers and storage spaces have been sealed by the prosecutors. The State Sanitary Inspection in the Ministry of Health is checking from an administrative point of view if that space, if that location, complies with the regulations in force and if all the appropriate protocols were applied. I am only checking administratively. Of course I have elements from the report. The final form of it will be ready on Monday and then we will also decide what are the administrative sanctions, if you want, that the Ministry of Health can apply in this meaning”, said the Minister of Health.
What the preliminary data shows
He stated that according to the preliminary data he has from the control made at the medical unit, in that space there was no minimum equipment necessary to be able to perform general anesthesia.
He was asked why the clinic was working if he had only requested the approval, but had not received it.
“Out of unconsciousness and this is also the reason why I started the first and largest national level control four weeks ago, through which my colleagues check all private clinics and all private practices that have at least one operating room. It is the largest extensive national level control that has been carried out since the Revolution. I estimate that in two to three weeks we will have this control completed. Until then, I can tell you that more than 20 practices in this country have been suspended and fined over another 30”, Alexandru Rogobete said.
He added that the representatives of the Ministry of Health cannot control the video cameras of the clinic.
“From an administrative point of view, the control opened and carried out by the Ministry of Health will complement the one carried out by the Prosecutor's Office. I have no way to check the video cameras of the institution, only the Prosecutor's Office can do this. The College of Doctors will check the therapeutic conduct and determine if there were elements of malpractice, and the Ministry of Health will check from an administrative point of view the way it was organized and whether or not this office complies with the regulations and I tell you that it does not comply with them and that it really does not there was the minimum necessary equipment so that general anesthesia could be given in that space, things that I have under my control, preliminary data, but which, unfortunately, confirm the tragedy that happened”, the Minister of Health also declared.
Alexandru Rogobete is expected to make new statements about this case on Sunday, according to Digi 24.
