In Russia, they are creating a platform with biometric services for everyday use, TASS reports citing the press service of the Center for Biometric Technologies, operator of the Unified Biometric System.
The platform includes services for checking into a hotel without a passport, self-service in the MFC, age confirmation when purchasing goods 18+ and a number of others.
“Some of the services have already been put into operation, some are undergoing technical tests and user testing», — noted in the press service.
At the same time, work continues on fast boarding services for trains and planes. They are planned to be put into operation in 2026.
Services “Instantly» should become an alternative to presenting paper documents and will significantly reduce service time when receiving government and commercial services.
