More than 500 parrots were delivered to Krasnoyarsk from Kyrgyzstan by plane. The regional Office of Rosselkhoznadzor spoke about this.

Specialists carried out veterinary control of parrots at Krasnoyarsk airport. 565 heads of decorative birds were brought to the regional capital from the village of Kashkar-Kyshtak. The cargo was intended for an entrepreneur who is engaged in keeping and breeding parrots.

Ornamental birds were delivered to Krasnoyarsk in compliance with the veterinary and sanitary requirements of the Russian Federation and the Customs Union.

“The parrots are now quarantined, during which all necessary diagnostic tests and preventive measures will be carried out,” the Department said.

In total, since the beginning of the year, 16 consignments of ornamental poultry from Kyrgyzstan, totaling 11,795 birds, have been imported to Krasnoyarsk.
