The “Good Start” program is addressed to parents and guardians of students of primary schools, secondary schools, technical schools, as well as post-secondary and adult schools. The benefit is available to children and young people who are under 20 years of age (24 years of age in the case of people with disabilities).

Funds from the program, also called “300 plus”, are intended to support parents in covering the costs of their children's education.
The one-off benefit of PLN 300 is intended to help parents and guardians cover study-related costs, such as the purchase of textbooks or school supplies. Importantly, family income does not matter when granting it.
