Peeling a pomegranate in 1 minute: an elementary method with a spoon – both your hands and the kitchen remain clean

Few people like to peel pomegranates. The juice splashes in all directions, the grains fly apart, your hands turn red, and the kitchen looks like it was after a culinary battle.

But pomegranate is a storehouse of benefits: it strengthens the immune system, cleanses blood vessels and perfectly decorates salads.

Housewives shared a simple life hack that will get rid of stains on clothes and sticky hands. All you need is 1 minute, a sharp knife and a heavy metal spoon.

How to use

  1. To avoid wasting money on unripe fruit, choose large and heavy pomegranates. The peel should be dense, slightly dry, without soft areas.
  2. Rinse the fruit under water and baking soda to remove dust and germs. Wipe dry with a paper towel. Carefully cut off the top (the one where the “crown”), being careful not to touch the grains.
  3. White veins are visible on the cut – make shallow cuts along them along the entire pomegranate.
  4. Place the pomegranate in a plastic bag. Break it into slices inside the bag, leaving the lower part intact.
  5. Take a metal spoon and tap each slice rhythmically. The grains themselves will “jump” out of the cells and fall to the bottom of the bag – clean, intact and without a single splash.

So in just a minute you will have a bowl of juicy grains, without any stains in the kitchen. Your hands will be clean, your mood will be great, and you can immediately add pomegranate to salads, desserts, or simply eat it with a spoon.
