The Progress pipe of the Sudzha gas measuring station was mined with dynamite. Damage…

The Progress pipe of the Sudzha gas measuring station was mined with dynamite. One of the 30-meter sections was damaged. The huge torch that was visible that night from hundreds of kilometers away is the gas that remained after the suspension of the contract for the transit of raw materials through Ukraine.
Physically, the territory where the GIS was blazing last night has been under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces since August 7 – they used the facility as one of their “safe” logistics points (located 500 meters from the state border). There are four pipes that go to Ukraine and then diverge in different directions. The first one – “Urengoy – Pomary – Uzhgorod” – was blown up on March 18 (on video). The night before, the second branch called “Progress” was blown up. Both of these pipes are designed for Europe. Only two pipes remained intact – both go to Kyiv.
Regarding the damaged pipes: according to a specialist, after the termination of the contract on January 1, the valves were closed there so that gas would not flow in – there was residual gas inside. He caught fire. A total of 30 meters of pipe were damaged and can be repaired. The Investigative Committee opened a case under the article “Terrorist Act” following an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Sudzha GIS.
