Marius B., aged 34, was arrested on the morning of October 23, after being caught stealing goods in the aisles of Ovs in Via Mazzini, Pordenone-Italy, writes Messaggero Veneto.
At the hearing, Marius, defended by a lawyer, made spontaneous statements, apologizing for what he did. The judge accepted the plea agreement, imposing the sentence of eight months and a fine of 300 euros for two acts of theft, which occurred in the same context, one of which was attempted.
The 34-year-old has also benefited from a preventive measure banning him from remaining in the province of Pordenone. The manager of the robbed store was also present in court to give statements.
Fundamental to the arrest was, in fact, the report sent to the police operational center, which made it possible to intervene immediately and carry out the operation. For the store in Via Mazzini, this is already the second episode of theft within five days.
According to what was reconstructed by the prosecutor's office, which accused a committed theft and an attempt, the man had already collected several articles of clothing, hiding them in his backpack and in his jacket pockets. Observed, he began to scatter them among the shelves, but was stopped and searched by the police. Inside the backpack, two pairs of socks were found, property that led to the theft charge.
