The general prosecutor, Alex Florenta, ordered an inspection at the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Turnu Măgurele Court, after the 25-year-old mother of three children was killed by her husband on a street in Beciu commune in Teleorman county.

“The Prosecutor General of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice ordered, during the morning of today, November 10, 2025, the performance of a thematic control at the Prosecutor's Office attached to Turnu Măgurele Court, as a result of the murder that took place in Beciu commune, Teleorman county, on November 8, 2025,” the Public Ministry informed.

The control requested by Alex Florenta concerns both the way in which the investigations were carried out in the criminal file regarding the crime of rape, as well as the way in which the procedure was carried out in the case of the provisional protection order.

“The conclusions and measures ordered will be made known to the public”, the Prosecutor's Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice also sent.

The court in Turnu Măgurele issued, at the end of September, a protection order for six months for Mihaela, the 25-year-old young woman, who had requested this measure against her estranged husband.

In this case of femicide, the Romanian Police also announced that they were checking on Monday morning at the IPJ Teleorman.

According to IPJ Teleorman, the victim was fatally stabbed by her partner while she was with her three-year-old child on a street in Beciu commune. The young woman had a protection order against the aggressor, whom she sued for kidnapping and rape at the end of September, on the day the court issued the protection order, for a period of six months.

The first order had been issued by the police on September 22. The Teleorman police also reported that Mihaela, killed on the very day she was celebrating her name day, did not want the installation of an electronic monitoring system in any of the cases.
