National Independence Day is on November 11. Celebration plan


November 11 is Independence Day. It is celebrated on the 107th anniversary of Poland regaining independence. National celebrations were organized in Warsaw.

President Karol Nawrocki will celebrate Independence Day on November 11, among others. laying wreaths in front of the monuments of the Fathers of Independence. On that day, there will also be a ceremony of awarding state awards by the President of the Republic of Poland. At noon on November 11, President Karol Nawrocki and the First Lady will take part in a ceremonial briefing of the guards in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw.
Traditionally, on November 11, the Independence March will take place through the streets of the capital, with the slogan “One nation, strong Poland” in 2025. It will start in the capital at 13 with a prayer at the Dmowskiego roundabout. At At 2 p.m. it will be opened, the anthem will be sung, and then the march participants will move towards the grounds of the National Stadium. The demonstration, which has been taking place on the streets of Warsaw on the anniversary of Poland regaining independence, has been organized since 2011 by the Independence March association.
This is how the celebrations of November 11 will take place
The celebrations of November 11 will also be celebrated in the capital with the 35th Independence Run. Participants will start the run promptly at 11:11 a.m. at ul. Miła and al. John Paul II will cover a distance of 10 km.
At At 12.00 at Castle Square and in the main hall of the Polish History Museum, the nationwide “To the Anthem” campaign will take place. At this time, all willing residents of the capital and tourists will be able to gather and sing the Dąbrowski Mazurka together.

Numerous attractions will also await the inhabitants of the capital at Krakowskie Przedmieście, where from From 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. there will be a great outdoor festival with performances by folk artists and musicians. Parades, dance shows, presentations by reenactors and historical groups, exhibitions of historic vehicles and attractions for children are also planned for participants.
In turn, in the Citadel, institutions operating in the facility will open their doors, i.e. the Polish History Museum, the Polish Army Museum and the Museum of the Tenth Pavilion. However, already at At 6 p.m. there will be a concert “Wspólna Niepodległa 2025”, during which 16 artists from 16 voivodeships will present traditional songs and regional motifs in modern arrangements.
In Krakow, the celebrations on November 11 will begin with the Krakow Independence Run. At On November 11, participants will set off from the promenade of al. 3 Maja near Błonia and will run, among others, through Salwator, Zwierzyniecki Bridge, Dębnicki Bridge and Vistula boulevards. Each competitor who finishes the race within the regular time will receive a commemorative medal.
There are also other attractions planned in the city that day, including a ride on the Patriotic Tram, the 93rd Krakow Singing Lesson “Joyful Independence” and the March of Independent Music as part of the Sacrum Profanum Festival.

In Gdańsk, the city authorities together with the SUM Association traditionally invite residents to participate in the Independence Parade on November 11. The march will start at 10.30 from Podwale Staromiejski and through the city streets to Długi Targ.
In Poznań, Independence Day celebrations will take place, among others: at Wolności Square, where at A picnic with the services will begin at 12.00, during which military units, combined and independent administration units, and reconstruction groups will present themselves. Moreover, at At 2:00 p.m., the Independence March will start from the Wildecki Market Square and go through the city streets and end at the Monument to the Underground State.
National Independence Day is a public holiday in Poland celebrated annually on November 11 at 12:00 to commemorate Poland regaining independence in 1918, after 123 years of partition (1795–1918). The holiday was established by the Act of April 23, 1937, and abolished by the Act of the National Council on July 22, 1945. It was restored by Act during the systemic transformation in 1989.
