Six entities have advanced to the next stage of initial market consultations regarding the construction of the metro in Krakow. They are intended to help collect recommendations regarding the preparation of documentation needed for this investment. In 10 years, the first metro line will be put into operation in Krakow.

The Krakow city hall announced that out of 10 registered entities, the following companies were invited to the next stage of preliminary market consultations: DOHWA Engineering, Schüßler-Plan, ILF Consulting Engineers, TÜV Rheinland Polska, PwC Advisory and Bartosz Kołodziej. They will be participants in the consultation meeting scheduled for November 17.
“The consultations are intended to help collect opinions and experiences from the market and to obtain practical recommendations that will allow for faster and more efficient preparation of key investment documents – from feasibility and concept studies, to the application for an environmental decision, construction design and decision to implement works,” the city office said in a statement.
He added that the city wants to develop ideas together with experts to shorten the metro implementation time and base its activities on proven market solutions. The involvement of experts is intended to help plan the next stage of the investment “so that it is better prepared substantively and based on current knowledge.”
In September, the city authorities announced that in 10 years the first metro line in Krakow will be put into operation, and ultimately two lines with a total length of approximately 29 km will be built, which will run from Nowa Huta to Opatkowice and Kurdwanów. The estimated investment cost is PLN 13-15 billion. According to the assumptions, the money will come from the city budget, European funds and private funds. (PAP)
