FC Hermannstadt – FCSB 3-3. There was tension at FCSB after Sunday evening's draw, in Sibiu, won in the last hundred meters by the Romanian champion. Daniel Bîrligea had a nervous exit and was eliminated, and after the match the boss dictated that he return to Bucharest alone. While Becali was vehemently demanding this on TV, the striker had already left in a car for the lot, together with Florin Tănase.
CONTEXT:
-
Daniel Bîrligea was a nervous wreck at the match on Sunday evening and protested vehemently at the referee, picking up two yellow cards within minutes;
-
Immediately after the match, the boss Gigi Becali intervened on TV and dictated that Bîrligea no longer go with the team to Bucharest, because he made fun of his colleagues, and that he should make the return trip alone, with a car, without entering the coach, with his teammates;
While Becali was “thundering and thundering” on TV, Daniel Bîrligea had already made the decision to leave for the Capital, together with Florin Tănase, who had organized in detail the return to Bucharest even before the match.
From GSP.ro information, Tănăse had rented a car especially to go to the national team, in Mogoșoaia, where the tricolors had gathered since Sunday at noon. In order to get under Mircea Lucescu's baton faster, Tănase decided not to leave with his colleagues, and in the car he booked he also took Daniel Bîrligea, despite the tensions between the two during the match, when Tănase criticized his elimination.
Bîrligea and Tănase went to Bucharest together
Basically, while Becali was vehemently ordering Bîrligea not to get on the bus, he already knew that he would leave in a private car for Mogoșoaia, alongside Tănase. On the other side, the bus with the rest of the players had its first stop also in Mogoșoaia, to drop off the other three footballers called to the squad for the action in November: Darius Olaru, Ștefan Târnovanu and David Miculescu.
“Now I'm giving him a 20,000 euro fine! Since you're making fun of an entire team… how can you go next to the team on the bus now? I'm paying for the most luxurious car, a Mercedes, so that he can go alone. How can you sit next to some people when you mocked them? Look, what impudence! He's only interested in himself, impudence!”, said Gigi Becali, after the match.
Becali criticized MM Stoica, but he also opposed the fines
Also, according to GSP information, Charalambous and Pintilii had decided to resign after the failure with Metaloglobus, even if Gigi Becali made the announcement only after the match with Hermannstadt.
In addition, regarding the statements made by Becali regarding the lack of reaction of MM Stoica to the inappropriate behavior of the players, it seems that it was Becali who defended the players in the past when they stepped on the bulb and it was MM, together with the coaches, who wanted to fine them, but later changed his mind.
Even if he initially agreed, later Becali returned to better feelings and said that they should not be fined, because they are young, they made a mistake and deserve a new chance.
