Experts named ways to reduce utility bills

In the context of constant increases in tariffs for housing and communal services, experts offer two main ways to save money. As Vslukh.ru reports, we are talking about introducing resource-saving technologies and increasing the legal literacy of consumers.

Associate Professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Morkovkin notes that the installation of individual metering devices allows us to move from standards to real consumption.
“Energy efficient solutions require initial investment, but mathematical calculations demonstrate their payback in the medium term,” explains the expert.
Among specific measures, experts name the replacement of incandescent lamps with LEDs, the installation of thermostats on radiators, the use of aerators on taps, the timely elimination of leaks and the choice of energy-saving household appliances.
Professor Nadezhda Kapustina draws attention to the untapped potential of subsidies and benefits. “Many consumers do not use compensation provided for by law, recalculation of payments during temporary absence and other legal methods of saving,” the expert notes.
Experts emphasize that the active position of the consumer, combined with modern technologies, can significantly reduce the burden on the family budget when paying for utilities.
