Craiova University – UTA Arad 1-2. Mirel Rădoi (44 years old), the coach of Olten, drew the conclusions in the flash-interview, immediately after his team suffered the first seasonal failure at home, in round #16 of the Superliga, against UTA. The technician was disappointed and disturbed at the end of the interview by the questions he received.
Craiova's coach analyzed what happened on Sunday evening on “Ion Oblemenco”, he talked about the misses and how the opponents managed to strike, and finally he was bothered by a question he received, regarding the competitive break that follows and how he sees it at the moment, considering both the result in the championship and the success in Europe.
“How does this break come, does it help you or, on the contrary, confuse you?”Rădoi was asked, at which point he “caught fire”.
“What do you think the answer would be? I'd be fine with losing, right? I don't understand these rhetorical questions, if you want to make fun of me… out of respect for you I come here and try to answer you, but if I lost how could the next period catch us? Happy, right?! I don't understand.
We have to accept the result, I am satisfied with the game, with the opportunities created, but unfortunately we have nothing to do, to block the opposing team from having any corners. In the next period we will do this to start collecting points”, Radoi said on “Digi Sport Special”.
Mirel Rădoi, conclusions after the failure with UTA
“It was a good game, which we led, but we spoiled the result. We have to make a 'wall' in the middle of the field, not to let them have corners anymore. Maybe it's hot now and I don't know… other phases come to mind. We miss with composure and concede goals too easily.
That corner also counts, it's frustrating to lose at home, especially the second game lost at home. You have nothing to do, you have to accept. It's a shameful result, you want it, you don't want it, you have three points less. That's the reality.
I tried to explain some reasons. From the next seven games we have to make it seven wins, get back up there. I answered you honestly, I told you that there is a period ahead in which we have to minimize poor results and injuries. There are factors influencing the situation, but we are trying to get seven wins in the next seven games and get back to first place.
Like any player Al Hamlawi has his down times, we also have our down times as a team. The opponents analyze us, they know which players we have, what qualities, everything becomes more difficult. But I don't think that Assad will stay only with these goals, because he is a player with a lot of quality”, said Mirel Rădoi, after the match, on the “Digi Sport” microphone.
Rădoi's complaints provoked a reply from the studio, from the moderator Vali Moraru: “We will consult with our colleagues from Al Jazeera, let's see what are the appropriate questions. Let him stop feeling taken for granted. I don't know where… Let's move on, it's the best thing we can do.”
