Failure of a gas pipeline in the capital. Distrigaz temporarily stopped the supply on several streets in Sector 3

A malfunction in a gas pipeline in Sector 3 of the Capital led Distrigaz Sud to temporarily stop the supply on several streets, affecting approximately 120 customers.

A technical failure at a natural gas pipeline in Sector 3 of the Municipality of Bucharest led, on Sunday, November 9, to the temporary interruption of gas supply on several streets, informs Distrigaz Sud Rețele in a statement.

The incident was reported at the intersection of Drumul Street between Tarlale and Industriilor Road, where the defect was identified. For safety, the company has decided to stop the power supply starting at 10:00.

“As a result of a defect recorded in a pipeline, belonging to the natural gas distribution network located at the intersection of Drumul Street between Tarlale and Șoseaua Industriilor, in sector 3 of the municipality of Bucharest, in order to keep consumers safe, Distrigaz Sud Rețele has stopped the supply of natural gas in that area today, November 9, 2025, starting at 10:00 a.m. As a result of this unplanned interruption, 120 household customers are affected and non-households located on the streets Drumul between Tarlale, Gara Cățelul and Peleş, in sector 3 of the municipality of Bucharest, Distrigaz Sud teams are on site to remedy the defect”.

Resumption of power is expected for the same day, around 14:00.

Distrigaz Sud advises customers to observe safety measures if they smell gas after resuming supply.

“After natural gas supply resumes, if customers feel gas smellthey are asked to call the Gas Emergency Call and Troubleshooting Center at phone numbers: 021/9281, 031/9031 or 0800.877.778, ventilate the room immediately, do not cause sparks, do not operate electrical switches, do not use electrical appliances and, if possible, close the natural gas supply valve”, recommends the company.
