In a conversation with journalists, Zandberg emphasized that the purpose of the party congress is to discuss issues a new program for the 2027 parliamentary elections. As he mentioned, the following will be discussed, among others: about large public investments, science and development, housing policy, clean energy, new technologies, health system and social inequalities in education. He added that current program work will also be summarized.

– Our goal is the future parliament in which the majority will depend on the Razem Party club – he noted.

During the opening speech of the congress, Zandberg said that other political parties in Poland “have to buy people's commitment.” In his opinion, Razem does not have to do this because it is based on the power of social commitment. – We showed what a campaign looks like that is driven not by fear and money, but by hope – he added.

Zandberg said that after the presidential campaign, thousands of new members joined Razem. He noted that the most important task of the party for the coming year is to “transform this popular movement into a stable, lasting electoral machine that will fight for seats in 41 constituencies in the parliamentary elections.”

As he recalled, at last year's Razem congress it was decided to leave the Left parliamentary club and establish a party group in the Sejm. He emphasized that it was the right decision, although – as he added – in his opinion, Poland was in a place about which Razem had already warned a year earlier. In this context, he mentioned, among others: postponement of treatments and surgeries in hospitals for subsequent years, “sick” real estate market, insufficient investments in development or lack of progress regarding abortion law.

– Our task is to build a force that will not give in and will not be blackmailed by PO-PiS's ad hoc exaltations – emphasized Aleksandra Owca, co-chairman of Razem, during her speech. She estimated that a year after Razem separated from the Left Club, the party “is already stable.”

During the two-day party congress in Warsaw, the first after the presidential elections, approximately 300 delegates will discuss the party program, statutory challenges related to the influx of new members and the future of Razem. On Friday, Razem spokesman Mateusz Merta told PAP that delegates from all over Poland will discuss the future of the party and finalize work on a refreshed program declaration. (PAP)
