A well-known company from the USA invests in Warsaw and Gdańsk


“The newly hired highly specialized employees will support the development of modern technological and consulting solutions for Mastercard customers throughout Europe and around the world. These centers will strengthen Poland's role as one of the key points on the map of innovation and digital transformation of the region,” reads the company's announcement.
As for the Warsaw center, the number of employees employed there is expected to double by 2028 — to over 300 people. The Gdańsk investment is expected to employ 100 new employees by 2028.
The Warsaw Mastercard center focuses on strategic advisory and consulting, while the Gdańsk center focuses on open banking and data-driven innovations.

We need places in Poland that play a key role in direct contact with customers and support the development of modern solutions in the financial ecosystem. They strengthen our position as a significant financial center on the world map. The decision to expand in Warsaw and Gdańsk confirms Mastercard's confidence in the potential of the Polish staff, the stability of the country and its strategic role in Europe” – says Marta Życińska, general director of the Polish branch of Mastercard Europe.

“Mastercard centers in Warsaw and Gdańsk together constitute a driving force for innovation, integrating consulting, data analysis and advanced technologies, supporting the development of digital payments. As we expand our business beyond traditional payments, areas such as data analysis, cybersecurity and consulting are becoming an increasingly important source of value and innovation for the company,” we also read in the release. Mastercard also emphasizes that it is celebrating its 30th anniversary on the Polish market.
