Orlen and Naftogaz signed an agreement specifying the terms of the contract for gas supplies in 2026, Orlen announced in a press release. The Polish company will provide the Ukrainian partner with over 300 million cubic meters of gas from American LNG supplies received by Orlen.

“The agreement will allow for the import of a significant volume of gas from the United States to Ukraine and opens the field for further initiatives of this type, the aim of which may be to support other countries from Central and Eastern Europe,” said Miłosz Motyka, Minister of Energy, quoted in the press release.
“The Orlen-Naftogaz agreement, specifying the terms of the future gas contract, is an important step towards strengthening the region's energy security and further proof of Orlen's growing importance on the international gas market. Its signing is the result of the good cooperation between the companies so far, thanks to which over 600 million cubic meters of raw material will reach Ukraine this year,” said Robert Soszyński, Orlen's vice-president for operations.
As indicated, in accordance with the signed letter of intent, the contract will cover the delivery of three loads of American LNG in the first quarter of 2026. The parties declared that they would quickly agree on the final commercial terms and sign the appropriate contract. Thanks to the agreement, the gas volume under all contracts with Naftogaz will total almost one billion cubic meters.
“Today, on the occasion of the P-TEC conference, we confirmed key conditions and have already started planning deliveries. The agreement, which includes a credit line and insurance instruments, will be signed soon,” said Sergii Koretskyi, president of Naftogaz.
Wojciech Wrochna announced that cooperation with partners allows for further steps to be taken to expand the Northern Corridor.
“As part of it, we plan to carry out the Open Season procedure for FSRU2, which will allow us to support our neighbors even more effectively,” said the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Energy and government plenipotentiary for strategic energy infrastructure.
The agreement between Orlen and Naftogaz was signed on the occasion of the Partnership Summit for Transatlantic Energy and Climate Cooperation held in Athens, which, in addition to the energy ministers of Poland, the USA, Ukraine and other countries, was attended by business representatives, including Orlen and Naftogaz.
