A Norilsk resident sued a law firm for 93 thousand rubles for services not provided

A resident of Norilsk won a lawsuit against the local law firm “Your Lawyer”, which took money for services but did not fulfill its obligations. The court recovered 93 thousand rubles from the company in favor of the client, Rospotrebnadzor said.

The man turned to the company for help in returning money from the debtor. The lawyers confidently promised to resolve the issue and asked to sign an agreement for 60 thousand rubles. As the northerner explained, he trusted the specialists and signed the documents without delving into the details, including certificates of work performed – although no services had yet been provided.

The problem came to light almost a year later, when the client discovered that the deadline for filing a claim against the debtor had expired, and it was no longer possible to go to court again. The law firm ignored his claim.

With the support of Rospotrebnadzor, the Norilsk resident filed a lawsuit. The court fully satisfied his demands, collecting from the company not only the cost of services not provided (60,000 rubles), but also compensation for moral damages (2,000 rubles), as well as a fine (31,000 rubles).
