A documentary film about children football players from a boarding school in Berezovka was among the best at the Open Social Film Festival

The film “On the Field of Equal Opportunities,” filmed by a volunteer team from Krasnoyarsk, was included in the 12 best films of the IX Open Social Film Festival “Sheredar” in the “Short Documentary Film” category.

At the award ceremony in the Vladimir region, a film from Siberia was presented David Martirosyan – Head of the Legal Department of the KSKU “Department of Social Protection of the Population”. For 11 years in Krasnoyarsk, on a volunteer basis, he has been organizing a football match for children from psychoneurological boarding schools and correctional schools, which annually attracts teams from all over the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

In 2024, for the 10th anniversary of the tournament, he came up with the idea of ​​making a documentary. A volunteer team was assembled, which included: PR and promotion expert in the non-profit sector Galina Katerinich, cameraman Sergei Kamashev and director Sergei Valiev.

Work on the film lasted a year. In the summer of 2025, the film premiered at the Krasnoyarsk House of Cinema.

“We sent our film to competitions at various levels, the last competition where our application was sent was “Sheredar,” says the film’s producer Galina Katerinich. — First, we received a message that we had been included in the long list of works, then that we had become nominees. Invited to Moscow and the Vladimir region. From our team, the film was presented at the film festival by David Martirosyan.”

The jury of the Sheredar Film Festival includes famous film directors, screenwriters, cameramen, actors, and journalists.

“At the film festival, I had a meeting with RenTV presenter Elena Likhomanova, she held a master class for film festival participants in the television plot category,” says David Martirosyan. — Our film was watched by Oleg Kochubey, a member of the Academy of Russian Television, director of photography, teacher of State Institute of Technical Development, Alexander Barshak, film director, screenwriter, producer, actor, Vitaly Kalinin, head of film and television directing workshops at VGIK, member of the Guild of Federal Professional Education Experts, screenwriter, director, chairman of the film festival jury and many others. They highly appreciated our debut work, gave us a lot of warm words, and emphasized the strengths of the film, for which I am very grateful to them.”

Of the 273 films submitted to the film festival, 50 were selected. Of these, 12 were in the Documentary category. Maria Shokleva from the city of Cheboksary won this nomination.
