Legend of Russian television Yuri Nikolaev has died

People's Artist of Russia and famous TV presenter Yuri Nikolaev died at the age of 76 after a long battle with cancer. His relatives and colleagues reported this.

According to media reports, November 4 Nikolaev felt bad and he was hospitalized with pneumonia and low oxygen saturation. ABOUThe ended up in intensive care and the doctors were unable to save him.

According to some sources, Nikolaev was first diagnosed with cancer in the 2000s; he managed to defeat the disease several times, but years later it returned. Yuri Nikolaev devoted half a century of his life to television. His name is inextricably linked with “Morning Mail” – a musical program with which for many years the Sunday mornings of the country's residents began. He was also the author and permanent presenter of the “Morning Star” program, hosted “Blue Light”, “Song of the Year”, “Property of the Republic”. In addition, he played in the films “Big Races”, “The Girl from Cell No. 25”, “Before We Part” and others.

In recent years, Nikolaev almost did not appear on TV. He would have turned 77 in December.
