Minister Alexandru Rogobete announced on Wednesday that his team is working on an electronic platform through which it will ask the opinion of “those who hold health on their shoulders — doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, psychologists, managers, TESA staff, but also patients”.

The official says this will give the medical system and patients an opportunity to give “real” feedback.

“For me, both the voice of the medical system and the voice of the patient matter. Periodically there will be dedicated questions for nurses — to tell us what doesn't work and what they would like to change. There will be questions for resident doctors, but also for patients, whose experiences in hospitals will be carefully analyzed,” said Alexandru Rogobete, Wednesday evening, in a post on Facebook.

He claims that the new “digital platform will be a complex one, designed to bring us closer to people, to be able to talk to as many of you as possible and to build the right solutions together.”

“I don't want to make changes in health just because “that's the way it has to be” or “that's what some say is good”. I want every change to take into account you — those who work day and night in the health system, but also the patients who benefit from it. Yes, our system is sometimes imperfect. But that's exactly why we're here — to make it better, more empathetic and more humane,” continued Alexandru Rogobete.

The Minister of Health said that “people don't just need medicine, walls or modern equipment”, but “they also need empathy, a kind word, a sincere handshake”.

“And the doctors, nurses and the entire medical staff need to know that they are not alone. That we are with them. I have always said that “trust is good for us”. And I really believe that. Through your trust we were able to overcome pressures and resistance. And now I think the moment has come when your opinion can do us good”, concluded Minister Alexandru Rogobete.
