OKO.press reported on Tuesday that Braun was among the “winners” of the Belarusian Peace and Human Rights Prize awarded by the propaganda International Foundation. Emil Czeczko – a Polish soldier who deserted to Belarus.

Kosiniak-Kamysz referred to this matter during his speech at the Warsaw Citadel, who had previously presented decorations to soldiers and employees of the Ministry of Defense on the occasion of the upcoming National Independence Day.

– I was concerned about the information that one of the Polish MEPs, Mr. Grzegorz Braun, was awarded the prize. Emil Czeczko by the Belarusian regime – said the deputy prime minister. He added that it was a “very dangerous situation.”

Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized that Czeczko was a deserter who fled to Belarus, betraying Poland.

– I hope for a quick rejection of this, otherwise it is a clear violation of the principles of patriotism – said the head of the Ministry of National Defense, adding that this matter will certainly require clarification. He assured that he will stand on the side of the soldiers who protect the border. (PAP)
