Călin Georgescu emphasized again that he does not support any candidate for the Capital City Hall: “I consider, as I said, that it is a farce”

Călin Georgescu, who is under judicial control in the file regarding the alleged plot hatched by Horațiu Potra and a group of mercenaries to seize power in the state, declared on Tuesday, November 4, once again that he will not support any candidate for the Capital City Hall.

Georgescu appeared at the police station to sign the judicial review, a measure that was recently extended. Asked by journalists what he thinks about the organization of the elections for the Capital City Hall on December 7, he qualified the election as “a prank”, claiming that the Romanians are still waiting for evidence regarding “stealing the 2024 presidential election.”
“I had a statement that I'm sure you all saw. What can I say? I consider, as I said, that it's a farce (not the partial elections that will follow on December 7). In addition to that, I, along with the Romanian people, are waiting for evidence about the theft of the elections, not stories. Two. Until one, the free vote of the Romanians was stolen. And three, from this point of view I cannot have a serious approach, of any way, of these elections”, declared Călin Georgescu, after signing the judicial review.
It is Georgescu's second call to his supporters, urging them to boycott the December 7 election. The first message, sent a few days ago, was commented on by former TV moderator Anca Alexandrescu, who interpreted it as “an x-ray of a long chain of abuses.”
“Mr. Georgescu's message last night must be read not as a one-off reaction, as everyone hastened to do, but as an x-ray of a long chain of abuses that originates in the annulment of the elections of December 6. From that moment, the system opened a box of illegalities and threw Romania into a spiral of injustice, where each new abusive decision is only a natural consequence of the first one – the annulment of the people's vote. (…)”Anca Alexandrescu sent.
The members of the AUR leadership voted unanimously on Monday evening in favor of supporting the candidacy of Anca Alexandrescu for the Capital City Hall.
