Shortly before the match PSG – Bayernsince Tuesday evening, a surprising measure taken by the French authorities is causing a stir.
Bayern Munich lodged a protest with UEFA on Monday night, due to the measures taken by the Paris police. The prefecture of the French capital issued a general order at short notice during the afternoon – it regulates the arrival of Bayern fans and also establishes a special security zone with police measures.
Bayern supporters would leave Paris only 5 hours after the match
Specifically, all coaches of German supporters must gather at a toll station outside the city before the match. In addition, the regulation stipulates that all other “Bayern” fans travel to the stadium exclusively by public transport. After the match, everyone must return to their original means of transportation.
The buses will then be escorted out of town by police. However, due to official regulations and restrictions on driving time during the night, it is likely that coaches of German fans will not be able to leave Paris until the early hours of the morning, around 5:00 AM, to head home. Which, if all goes well, would be five hours after the final whistle!
Bayern's protest is also supported by PSG
Bayern was informed of the measures taken by the local authorities only on Monday afternoon, immediately lodged a protest at the UEFA meeting and “will seek new legal solutions”. The approach of the German champion is also supported by the host club, PSG.
The Germans were also keen to point out that they had made all crucial information about their supporters transparently available to the Paris police over the past few weeks: “There is no relevant change regarding a so-called risk situation.”
The Germans, surprised by Maurizio Mariani's delegation
Bayern also “surprised” the delegation to the match of the Italian referee Maurizio Mariani, who made a serious mistake in Serie A, against Inter coached by Cristi Chivu.
In the confrontation with Napoli (1-3), the “central” awarded the champion an extremely controversial penalty, a decision criticized including by the head of referees from the Peninsula, Gianluca Rocchi.
