Zbigniew Ziobro is suing Waldemar Żurek. Dispute over revealing the secret of the investigation


Zbigniew Ziobro announced in a post on the X social media platform “that, in accordance with his previous announcement, he submitted a report on the suspicion of committing a crime by Waldemar Żurek and the prosecutors subordinated to him.”
“Disclosure of the secret of the investigation to the detriment of the public interest and contrary to parliamentary procedures is – in accordance with the Penal Code – a crime prosecuted ex officio,” we read in the entry.
According to the content of the application, the document was submitted on behalf of the PiS Parliamentary Club by Zbigniew Ziobro and Marcin Warchoł. It concerns the provision of information obtained during the investigation to unauthorized persons, including TVN24 journalists, and specifically the full content of prosecutor Piotr Woźniak's request of October 28, 2025 for consent to bring Ziobro criminally liable.
Charges against the Minister of Justice
Zbigniew Ziobro announced on Sunday that he intended to file a report against Waldemar Żurek and prosecutors. The former Minister of Justice sharply criticized TVN24's disclosure of the details of the request to waive his parliamentary immunity.. Ziobro emphasized that revealing the secret of the investigation to the detriment of the public interest and contrary to parliamentary procedures is a crime prosecuted ex officio, in accordance with the Penal Code.
According to information provided by TVN24, the prosecutor's office plans to bring a total of 26 charges against Zbigniew Ziobro, including those relating to leading an organized criminal group. On Friday, TVN received a nearly 160-page document on this matter.

The submitted application emphasized that the case concerned providing TVN24 journalists with the full content of the application of prosecutor Piotr Woźniak, who acted as the national prosecutor. The case is of a political nature and directly concerns the former Minister of Justice, against whom the prosecutor's office is conducting proceedings.
