Frank Marotte, the vice-president of the Dacia business unit, responsible for sales, marketing and operations of the Romanian brand, was present the other day in Bucharest, at a company event, and announced the plans for the year 2026, when two new models will be launched, one compact and one electric. It also announced a significant change to the Logan model.
After a few weeks ago, Dacia announced that the new Sandero, Logan and Jogger models received a modern design, new hybrid and LPG engine options and improved technology, now comes new good news for lovers of this manufacturer.
Frank Marotte announced the release of the new C-Neo modela car that will revolutionize the world car market, but also a new electric model, which will use the same platform as the Twingo E-Tech, according to profit.ro.

The vice president of Dacia announces the launch of two new models in 2026
“We have a successful electric model in Europe, the Spring, and we have announced a new A-segment electric model for 2026. In addition to design to cost, we have adopted the strategy of design to weight, lighter cars. At Bigster, we are about 150 kg below the segment average.
We will apply this philosophy to future models as appropriate. A second C-segment model will be announced in 2026. In the middle of 2026 we will have all the details”, announced Frank Marotte, during his visit to Bucharest.
Why Logan will be the only one without a hybrid engine
Asked why Dacia Logan will be the only one not to receive a hybrid engine, he announced a change to this model as well.
Logan is no longer sold in Europe, but only in this region and is very popular in Romania. We don't have electrification scheduled for Logan, but we will bring powertrain innovations that will actually reduce CO2 emissions. We will have the most powerful Logan so far, 120 HP, and also the most efficient, with the LPG version
– Frank Marotte, vice president of Dacia
Our ambition is clear, to continue to grow and beat our record. The market context is very different compared to 2019, especially in Europe, but we have some strengths. We rely on the historic models Sandero, Logan, Duster and of course the addition of the Bigster in 2025. The Bigster has been a consistent success in recent months. With a wider range, we allow ourselves bigger goals. With two months left in the year, it's too early to tell if we'll succeed or not, but we're on track to surpass 2024 and possibly a new all-time high

The new Dacia Hipster has aroused interest in Romania as well
At the beginning of October, Dacia announced the launch of a new model, Dacia Hipstera small electric car, only 3 meters long. Vice President Marotte said that this news was well received by the public, with increased interest including in Romania.
“The message to the public was very strong and first of all conveyed a lot of curiosity, especially about how such a product could be made and how Dacia could make this model a success. This was also the aim of the concept and it worked well.
Surprisingly, we have seen increased interest even in markets that are not traditionally pro-BEV. We have seen an increased interest in Eastern Europe and Romania, not only in France, Scandinavia, where electric cars are important”, he also said, for the source cited above.
