Trump named potential successors. There may be two of them

Asked if he was considering another nomination for himself, Trump said he was “not thinking about it.” Existing legislation does not allow for a third term for him.

“I'll tell you, a lot of people want me to run, but the difference between us and the Democrats is that we have a really strong team. I don't want to name names because, you know, it's inappropriate, but it's too early,” he said.

Speaking about possible candidates from his team, he noted that “he likes” his Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubier and many others.

“I like so many people… We could have two candidates. You can look at all the members of my cabinet – we have great people. And they don't,” Trump added.
