The Minister of Labor, Florin Manole, said in an interview broadcast on Saturday by Antena 3 that “we need to stimulate employment” and announced a program in this regard for young people who are looking for their first job.

The Social Democrat said “the state will partially finance” the first job for “thousands of young people”.

“We have European money and we have some projects that we will start soon (…). We will have a budget available for thousands of young people looking for a job, young people who have never had any work experience, who come, perhaps, directly from the banks of high schools or universities, to enter the labor market with an employment contract for an indefinite period”, said Florin Manole.

According to the official, it is about “an incentive of 1,000 lei in the first 12 months, 1,250 lei in the following 12 months”.

“That is, the state will partially finance this job for a young person, the first job, for two years, on the condition that after these two years, at least 18 months, i.e. a year and a half, i.e. a period of three and a half years, will be covered by the employer, in the sense that that young person must remain at work”, explained the minister.

He believes that “it would be a pretty good start” for a young man's professional life.

“It would be a good start, I would say, for a young person to start with a job, for an indefinite period, with a little higher income, due to the fact that ANOFM has these funds, and with the perspective that even if he only stays at that job for three and a half years, he will be a man with some experience (…), a man who had a decent income and a decent living, a man who acquired, perhaps, in these three and a half years, and cares a little him, skills, abilities, experiences that will help him in his next professional life”, Minister Florin Manole also declared.
