How much is a car still worth after 4 years: Dacia rules the law in Germany, with the best residual values

Dacia reached the highest residual values in the history of the brand, according to the latest price data analyzed by Proffit.ro. Low purchase prices and perceived customer value help owners lose less money than other brands four years after purchase.
The residual value of motor vehicles, i.e. the price that a car can fetch on resale, is one of the most important criteria for a buyer, especially when calculating the total costs of the car during its lifetime.
The latest market analysis for new vehicles sold on the German market, shows that Dacia outperforms its rivals in almost all chapters, having the lowest price loss after four years of use.
Dacia models manage to dominate in all the segments in which it is present, with reduced residual depreciation both in percentage and in absolute value.
Bähr & Fess Forecasts has been publishing price analyzes since 2010, and periodic rankings are produced in conjunction with Focus Online. Estimates of residual values take into account new cars in the study year, with effects over four years.
According to the latest study, Dacia cars reached in 2025 the highest level of residual values, calculated for the year 2029. More precisely, the advanced figures show how much an owner of a new car bought this year should get if he sells it in 2029, relative to the list price.
Dacia Sandero, the brand's best-selling model in Europe, is the leader in segment B in the ranking regarding car depreciation in euros, respectively in absolute value. A Dacia Sandero SCE 65 Essential will lose only 5,904 euros from the list value, being the smallest depreciation in this segment.
