The Krasnoyarsk Territory is switching to a new fare payment system for public transport

From December 1, 2025, the new SberTroika ticket system will begin operating in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. It will replace the previous one on transport cards and simplify the fare payment process for passengers and carriers, the Ministry of Transport reported.

To ensure a correct transition to the new system, replenishment of old transport cards will be temporarily suspended. So, from November 1 it will not be possible to put money on old cardswith the exception of unlimited ones with a tariff plan for 15 days and 1 day (these can be topped up until November 15 and 29, respectively).

To connect a transport card to the new system, you need to contact the points from November 20 to December 1 enterprise “Krasnoyarskavtotrans”. Existing subscriptions will not expire; the remaining funds will be transferred to the card with the new system within three working days. Cards with the new system will be read by validators in public transport.

Social card holders do not need to exchange them for new onesthey will continue to operate. However, temporarily – from November 1 to December 1 – residents of the region will not be able to replenish them for more than one billing period.

It will be possible to top up SberTroika remotely – through the banks’ mobile application or personal account in the new system. This will eliminate the need to look for terminals or post offices, although this payment method will remain. In addition, the replenishment network will expand to include more than 200 Sberbank ATMs.

In public transport, it will remain possible to pay for travel in cash, by bank card or using a QR code.

“The introduction of modern ticket systems creates more comfortable conditions for both passengers and carriers. These technological solutions have already proven their effectiveness in other regions of the country,” commented the regional transport minister Dmitry Zotin on the changes.

Let us remind you that SberTroika is a joint IT company created in 2020 by Sberbank and the governments of Moscow and the Moscow region. The company is developing a unified ticket system and sharing successful experience with Russian regions. This is a completely domestic development, including software and card media. It is noted that SberTroika already supports preferential cards in Arkhangelsk, Saratov and other regions, demonstrating positive dynamics.
