Alexander Lenskikh, a young engineer at the Krasnoyarsk oil producing enterprise Slavneft-Krasnoyarskneftegaz, won the competition for innovative projects and scientific and technical developments for the fuel and energy complex, held as part of the Russian Energy Week 2025.
The young specialist already has several published scientific papers and numerous victories in industry scientific and technical conferences and engineering championships. Its new development is aimed at improving the reliability and safety of operation of treatment devices when transporting oil and oil-containing liquids.
One of the common problems with the operation of such devices is the discharge of batteries, which can lead to loss of communication, the cleaning piston getting stuck in the pipeline, or an untraceable device getting into the process equipment.
Alexander Lenskikh’s solution involves equipping the cleaning piston with a special section with an electricity generator that generates current using the energy of the liquid flow. The resulting energy is used to charge the transmitter batteries, ensuring stable communication and autonomous operation of the cleaning device.

The competition of innovative projects and scientific and technical developments for the fuel and energy complex is held annually under the auspices of the International Engineering Championship CASE-IN. The competition, aimed at developing youth research and innovation activities, is designed to support young inventors and innovators, promote the best practices of Russian companies and scientific institutions, and also stimulate the creation of research, innovative developments and industrial designs.
