The police in Lugoj detained a man who stole a laptop from a store, taking advantage of the Halloween atmosphere. The individual entered the store with a witch mask on his face and managed to cut the security alarm of a 10,700 lei laptop, before disappearing with the product.

The store employees did not suspect anything at the time. The disappearance of the laptop was noticed only after the thief left, when they alerted the police.
“In fact, on October 31, at around 7:43 p.m., the police in Lugoj were alerted to the fact that an unknown person allegedly stole a laptop exposed for sale from the premises of a commercial company on Timișorii Street in the municipality of Lugoj, causing a damage of 10,699 lei”, sent the law enforcement officers, quoted by Lugoj Info.
Following the checks, the police managed to quickly identify the suspect and located him in the municipality of Lugoj. The law enforcement officers discovered that he had fled the scene in a car, although his driver's license was suspended.
The suspect, aged 45, from Caraș-Severin county, was detained on Saturday, November 1, for 24 hours and is to be presented to the magistrates for the ordering of a preventive measure.
At the same time, the police are investigating to determine if the individual has committed other similar acts.
