Horia Tecău (40 years old) and Simona Halep (34 years old), two of the biggest personalities in the history of Romanian tennis, played tennis together and posted a photo on an indoor clay court.
Retired from the activity, Horia Tecău and Simona Halep enjoy life outside the circuit, but tennis remains a huge passion for both. As proof, they are often seen at events related to this sport or around tennis courts.

During this evening, Tecau posted a photo with Halep in which the two are on an indoor clay court. They are both smiling widely, and the former WTA world number one sits with her elbow resting on the shoulder of the former world number 2 in doubles.
“Apparently we still love this game”, wrote Tecau, in the description of the picture.
in summer, Halep declared that she accepted Tecau's proposal to play together at the Wimbledon Legends tournament in 2026 and that he will have to train. Three months later, the 34-year-old athlete kept her promise.
I was also invited to play now, but I felt that it was not yet the time and it was not time to be a legend. It's too soon after retirement. I spoke with Horia and decided that next year we will play mixed doubles together.
I didn't care about the rules, but I'll have to train, which I'm not mentally ready for yet, but we'll definitely motivate each other. Playing at Wimbledon is something, it means a lot.
