Dan Țucu changed the sporting director at Genoa. Diego Lopez took the place of Marco Ottolini, who left for Juventus. The new man in charge of the Italian club had a meeting with Vieira on Friday regarding the near future of the team.
Patrick Vieira remains, at the moment, coach at Genoa
Following discussions, the decision was made at Șucu's club to continue with Patrick Vieira, according to Tutto Mercato, citing Sky Italia. The French coach would be unlikely to continue in the event of a setback with Sassuolo on Monday.
Vieira has been at Genoa since November 2024 and has 37 matches on the Italian team's bench. He ticked 10 wins, 12 draws and 15 losses. He also coached Strasbourg, Crystal Palace, Nice, New York City and Manchester City's youth team.
