However, the UK's Food Standards Agency (FSA) warns that raw milk “may contain some harmful bacteria that can cause food poisoning” and advises the elderly, pregnant women, young children and anyone with a weakened immune system not to consume unpasteurized milk.

In the UK, the sale of raw milk is legal, but it can only be sold directly to consumers by registered farms that produce raw drinking milk.
