Jamie Vardy is leaving Leicester at the end of this season

Vardy was transferred by Leicester in 2012 from the Fleetwood lower league team for a million pounds. Since then, it has probably become the most important player in the history of the club.

A message for Leicester's fans: I'm devastated this day, but I knew that sooner or later, it would come.

It was 13 incredible years at this club, with many successes, some more difficult times, but most were moments of joy. Finally, the time has come to say goodbye, which saddens me enormously, but I think it is the right time.

I want to thank you honestly for receiving me as one of yours. Leicester will always have a huge place in my heart and I will follow that will follow, hoping that the team will have more successes.

For now, we break up, but I promise we will see again. Thank you!
