The team from Brasov started with the left in the competition, being defeated by Dijon, score 30-35, in the first match of group D of the EHF European League, last week, at home. And today's opponent, Zaglebie Lubin, lost the first match, with Viborg, score 38-42.

Corona Brașov returned to the European cups after six years and two months, the most recent evolution being in the EHF Cup qualifications, in the fall of 2019.
Two other Romanian teams, Minaur Baia Mare and Rapid, also play in the EHF European League. Both played on Saturday.
Minaur Baia Mare won at home with Mosonmagyarovar, in Group A, score 34-28. On the other side, Rapid drew with Lokomotiva Zagrebscore 28-28, in Group C, after a dramatic end.
