The “previously convicted” tag may appear on dating apps in Russia. State Duma deputies made a corresponding proposal.
The reason is frequent complaints from users (mostly women) that instead of potential candidates for creating a social unit, former inmates appear who do not know how to be romantic. But only fraud, threats and beatings.
In 2022, police identified 158,049 cases of domestic violence. Many of the aggressors met women on specialized social networks. At the same time, the girls did not know that their masiks had previously served time.
Therefore, representatives of “New People” Yaroslav Samylin and Ksenia Goryacheva asked the Ministry of Internal Affairs to provide the platforms with authorized access to the register, allowing them to check users immediately under nine articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Among them are “Rape” and “Death Threat”.
They say this will help users understand in advance who they are dealing with. And is it worth entering into correspondence with such bird personalities?
