Inter Milan comfortably beat Fiorentina 3-0 in the 9th round of Serie A in a match in which Romanian coach Cristian Chivu was praised by the Italian press for the way he managed the team.
Scored for the Nerazzurri: Hakan Calhanoglu ('66, '88) and Luka Sucic ('71).
The Italian press, delighted by Chivu
Peninsula publications gave Cristian Chivu a grade 7, noting the courage with which he rotated the team and relied on young players.
Cristian Chivu – grade 7.
Having dispelled all of Napoli's pre-match excuses, Cristi Chivu decided to rest Bonny and use youngster Pio Esposito, while introducing Bisseck from the first minute in the center of defence. The first half was balanced, but in the second half Inter had no mercy and came back in force on the road to victory.

Italian journalists noted the changes made by Chivu after the failure in the Napoli derby:
“Bisseck, on high: Chivu maintains the defensive line like no other. The choice of Bisseck as the starting central defender is explained as follows: the German, preferred instead of Acerbi and De Vrij, offers a slightly more advanced positioning than the other two, and this is immediately visible – Akanji quickly breaks into Violina's box.
Bisseck is a real “can opener”, drawing pressure from opponents and allowing the winger to break free and attack, especially Bastoni. The Italian gets off the mark in the 27th minute and puts De Gea to the test for the first time.
The same pattern repeats itself a few minutes later as Inter's strong side produce the biggest chance of the first half: a cross from Bastoni, a deflection from Dimarco and a superb intervention from San David, again with his feet.
Two key elements: the first is aggression, as Inter push to surprise Fiorentina's advanced defense and their attempts to counter-attack from the back; the second is the risk of counterattacks, but the defensive line is solidly resisting”, wrote the Italians after Inter's success.
