CFR Cluj announced on Thursday that Daniel Pancu was installed as coach of the team from Gruia.
This season, the Romanian vice-champion missed the qualification in the main phase of a European competition, and in the SuperLiga it is in 13th place, with only 13 points after 14 stages.

“Welcome to the CFR family, Daniel Pancu! CFRistas, we are happy to announce that Daniel Pancu is our new coach.
In the last two years, the former international was the selector of the Romanian National Youth Team, with whom he participated in the European U21 Championship in Slovenia. Previously, Daniel Pancu trained Romania U20, as well as Rapid Bucharest and Poli Iași.
Our new coach will start his duties starting on Saturday, after the game with Dinamo. We wish him, on this path, much success, as many successes as possible and beautiful memories with us!”, the statement of the CFR Cluj team states.
