As EY reminds, “on December 24, 2025, an amendment to the Labor Code will enter into force, which introduces the obligation to inform candidates in paper or electronic form about remuneration, its initial amount or range at the recruitment stage.” This requirement may significantly change the situation on the labor market, but also translate into conflicts within the organization.

A real revolution results from the implementation of EU regulations (Article 5 of Directive 2023/970), although it does not mean full implementation of the directive. As EY explains, the act focuses on “information obligations towards job applicants and gender neutrality and non-discrimination in the recruitment process, without introducing other mechanisms provided for in the EU legal act.”

Experts whose opinions are quoted by Infor.pl explain that there is no obligation to provide the salary in the advertisements themselves, but candidates should learn this information at the initial stages of recruitment.
The new regulations also impose an obligation to disclose all components of remuneration and other work-related benefits granted to employees in cash or in a form other than money.

Although companies have six months to prepare for the new regulations, experts warn that this may not be enough. Creating a reliable pay scale and evaluating positions may take up to 10-12 months. Therefore, it is crucial to start taking action now to avoid chaos and problems in the future.
