Daniel Pancu, the CFR Cluj team technician, prefaced the match scheduled for Friday, from 20:30, against Csikszereda, in the 20th stage of the SuperLiga.

The match in Gruia will be the first for the technician after obtaining the PRO license, and from now on he will be able to participate in press conferences and flash-interviews.

Pancu stated that it is difficult for CFR to qualify for the play-offs, but he is not giving up on this goal. The people of Cluj occupy the 11th place in the ranking, with 20 points, eight behind the UTA Arad team, which is in the sixth position.

Daniel Pancu: “We haven't given up on the play-offs, but there are many points to recover and few matches to play”

“I'm allowed to talk to you, it was a long-awaited event. Nothing changes, only that now I can talk to the supporters, to the passionate people. From the beginning I felt like a coach with the right documents. Things don't change.

We are coming after a hard week, which started with a stinging defeat, at Mioveni, in the Cup we drew a result, and a match with the best team in the championship after which we came back with a draw. I had a poor match in Craiova, I made many mistakes, wrong decisions, but when you play with a lot of heart, and here I have nothing to complain about, then God helps you.

So we have a comeback after the away goal conceded against Universitatea Craiova, a comeback after being led by Metaloglobus. Those are the positive things I'm happy about. At Mioveni (no with Argeș) I saw bowed heads, players who easily gave up the fight.

Don't get me wrong, we missed out on the play-offs, but there are many points to recover, many teams ahead of us and few games to play.

The teams that have nothing to lose are the most dangerous. Those from Miercurea Ciuc have a delightful game in places. I've seen them in a few games, they press, they bring a lot of players to finish. In the round, CFR did not win there, so we really want to win”, said Daniel Pancu, at the press conference, quoted by gsp.ro.

Csikszereda is 14th in the SuperLiga standings, with 16 points after 19 games and a 20-40 goal difference.
